Vessic language

Vessic is a sister language of Shaelic, Cendlese, and Batza, having originated on the island of Shaelia. It is spoken primarily in the Nænre Vésiara (“Holding of Vessia”) and in some isolated areas of the Nænre Siaietiri (“Holding of Siaieti”) in the northern part of the country. It is the primary language of just under 60,000 people, and according to the 2011 Census, understood by more than 300,000 people in the country, primarily in Vessia. Like Batza, Vessic has been supplanted by Shaelic as the favored language of government and home use.
